The Roots of War Documentary
The Roots of War is a documentary about terrorism as defined by 9/11 and al Qaeda. It explores the events leading up to 9/11, who bin Laden is and what his objectives are and what this means to the western world. Roots examines the reasons for bin Laden’s actions and their impact to our way of life and economy. Roots of War looks at why the US is hated and how we must make our way to peace.
This documentary includes excerpts from over 400 hours of interviews and footage, shot in Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey. Interviews include the everyday “man” on the street and his or her opinions and experts from Hezbollah to spiritual leaders, military experts, politicians, academics and those who set policy for their countries.
The Roots of War… the Road to Peace attempts to stimulate thinking by showing a balance of ideas and puts into perspective the who, what and why of what terrorism is since 9/11 and why we must and how we must pave the way to a road to peace.
Niki Nicastro McCuistion (Producer/Director) and her team, Dennis McCuistion (Narrator) and Phil Smith (Cameraman and Co-Editor), look at the situation up close and personal and let the experts and everyday voices speak for themselves.
The Roots of War purpose: to give us a view of how terrorism is presently impacting our way of life and why it is essential we understand who is responsible and how a lack of perspective and objectivity can and will compromise our present way of life. It takes a complex and difficult subject and reports on the facts on the ground with as much balance and objectivity as possible.
